The Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments is seeking to fill the Area Agency on Aging Director position. This position is responsible for managing an Area Agency on Aging serving a five-county region in North Central North Carolina. The successful applicant will plan, develop, administer, and implement a wide array of aging programs in accordance with the agency’s mission, goals, and objectives of the Older Americans Act, and other federal, state, and local requirements. Work involves staff supervision, program and budget development, and public contact with local governments and organizations, elected officials, local service providers, and older adults. The desired candidate will have a degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or Human Services (preferably Master’s level) and work experience in a related field.
