Cranbrook's Upper School seeks a part-time / weekend nurse whose goals will include: Identify health/medical problems and provide treatment under the auspices of a licensed physician; promote and provide healthcare maintenance through compliance with state laws and school policies; maintain and operate the health centers in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assess and evaluate students' injuries or illnesses and provide CPR and first-aid treatment. Dispense over-the-counter medication and/or refer to parent and physician as necessary, follow-up on prescription medications and lab work on ill residential students; document all treatment, medications, referrals, lab work and progress. Documentation in EMR and MCIR.

Qualifications: Proof of Michigan License as an R.N. required. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred, with at least two years of Public Health, pediatric, or school nursing experience preferred. Physical assessment skills are mandatory. The nurse will be on call every weekend that students are living in Cranbrook's two residence halls, from 3:30 PM every Friday until 7:30 AM every Monday. The nurse will also spend some dedicated time in both residence halls on both Saturday and Sunday to establish a visible presence for the students.
