Music Faculty

Waynesburg University is seeking candidates for a full-time, faculty position in Music. Position will begin August 2022. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Demonstrated excellence as a music instructor and director of band and other instrumental groups; exceptional ability to recruit and motivate students, a collaborative spirit, digital music programming experience, and expertise in developing and maintaining music curriculum for existing and emerging degree paths in music. PhD or EdD in music preferred. May consider different areas of music specialties. The successful candidate will teach twelve credit hours per semester in music; directing the band and other instrumental groups; directing the music program; managing part-time instructors; recruiting students. Background and curricular needs will dictate which courses will be scheduled. In addition, the individual will be expected to perform normal teaching duties at the college level including advising at the undergraduate level; developing, reviewing and revising curriculum; participating in service to the University and to the department, the discipline and the local community. The successful candidate for the position must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
