The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given patient population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Hospital.  This process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties.

Required: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Degree program. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State. Must possess one (1) year of medical/surgical acute care nursing experience.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 2 weeks after hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within one (1) year of the hire date, if deemed necessary for the position based on the scope of the assigned role.

Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  Certification in a specialty area.
