POSITION SUMMARY: Provides peer recovery coordination services with individuals with Substance Use and Co-occurring disorders. Services include engagement, assessment of needs, social support, linking, monitoring, and coordination to facilitate strength-based recovery. Assists with monitoring, screening, and coordinating care for Medication Assisted Treatment services. Provides individual and group counseling and skill building programs as needed, community-based liaison, including training for service providers. Services may be provided prior to, during and after treatment and performed during and outside normal hours of business.  Recovery coaching coordination may be provided in conjunction with treatment, or as separate and distinct services to individuals and families during their recovery.   

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Associates degree or higher preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: Experience as a recipient of substance abuse services and in Recovery for five or more years.  Preferred candidates will have two or more years’ experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and mental health issues. Must have good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instruction. Good problem-solving skills. Must have reliable means of transportation for community outings and transporting consumers. Must maintain safe driving record. 

 

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Certification in the CCAR Recovery Coaching Academy training, CADC and/or the ability to complete this within six months of date of hire.
