Human Resource Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises Human Resource and Safety personnel. This includes staffing, training, planning, work direction, evaluating, and discipline of employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Purpose:
Identifies, evaluates, and resolves human relations and work performance problems within organization. Facilitates communication and works to improve employee human relations skills and work performance. Coordinates human resource activities such as employment, orientation, compensation, performance appraisal, worker's compensation, labor relations, safety, employee relations, benefits, and training.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

* Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
* Oversees health and safety to ensure a safe work environment, to include monitoring worker's compensation claims and the return-to-work program
* Available for employee concerns and assistance as needed
* Evaluates human relations and work-related problems and meets with managers and supervisors to determine effective remediation techniques, such as job skill training or personal intervention, to resolve human relations issues among personnel
* Oversees recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, as well as all necessary pre-employment screening for candidates
* Prepare and review job descriptions, implementing changes as necessary
* Maintain performance appraisal system and work with HR Director to develop new programs as needed.
* Oversees development of Policy, Benefit, and Safety Orientation and ensure Orientation is conducted for all new employees
* Participates in analyzing wage and salary reports and data to determine a competitive compensation plan
* Maintains an effective worker's compensation system
* Advises department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits
* Maintain a human resource system that meets top management information needs
* Participates in development, recommendation, and implementation of personnel policies and procedures as well as consult legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws
* Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization
* Selects and schedules training to instruct organization managers, supervisors, and workers in human relations skills such as supervisory skills, conflict resolution skills, interpersonal communication skills, and effective group interaction skills
* Designs and conducts training in employee programs, procedures, and management skills as needed
* Oversees the documentation and maintenance of personnel records and files by all departments
* Keeps abreast of legislation, arbitration decisions, and technical reports to assess industry trends as they relate to TEAM Industries
* Ensures EEO, ADA, FLSA compliance
* Oversees Employee Appreciation/Recognition programs
* Active member of the TEAM Audubon Management group
* Actively participates in the development of TEAM wide HR programs and projects
* Demonstrate leadership commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management system and coach subordinates on their impact on TEAM QMS objectives.
* Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
* Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred
* SHRM or HRCI certification desired
* Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Knowledgeable of HR principals, employment law and safety
* Ability to communicate to a diverse group of people both verbally and in writing
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

Training:
* Reference OJT

Physical Demands
* Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to 100% of workday
* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally
