NURSERY WORKERS

Feeney's Wholesale Nursery of Buckingham, PA, a tree and shrub grower, seeks 6 experienced U.S workers for Heavy Manual Field Work, including working with tree jaws. The employment period is from February 19, 2018 to December 15, 2018. 

The scheduled work week is 40 hours, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday and, if necessary, 7 1/2 hours on Saturday. Available work in April, May, October and November usually exceeds 50 hours. Feeney's guarantees that available work will be at least 3/4's of the scheduled hours over the period of employment. Workers need to have three months prior experience in a tree and shrub nursery with extensive involvement with ball and burlap (B&B) field harvesting. The pay rate is $12.19 per hour. The work is heavy manual labor involved in growing and harvesting trees and shrubs. Requirements include the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. Work tools, supplies and equipment are supplied without cost to the worker. For workers from beyond normal commuting distance, Feeney's provides housing in a three-bedroom farm house and reimburses inbound transportation and subsistence costs upon completion of 1/2 of the period of employment. Return transportation and subsistence is provided upon completion of the employment period.
