Job Description

LPNs are part of the nursing team who will celebrate a resident’s increasing independence, listen and enjoy the stories they share, and provide that hug or prayer when more support is needed.   LPNs assure that medications and treatments are administered, maintain documentation, and assure a safe environment for residents and staff. 

Job Summary

This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards, procedures and individualized resident care plans. 

Assures medications and treatments are administered to assigned residents following nursing standards of practice. Updates care plan as needed.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. LPN Licensure for state of practice is required; current CPR certification or ability to become certified in CPR within 180 days of hire.   

Excellent clinical skills, ability to manage multiple details and deadlines, ability to understand each resident’s needs and a strong desire to serve others. Basic ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to measure and comprehend certain quantities; knowledge of basic nursing skills; knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
