Position Summary

Oversee the day to day operations of the Transportation department. Understand total distribution, transportation and store operations, with an emphasis on carrier supply chain programs to provide lower cost of product. Direct and coordinate activities of third-party vendors. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain on-time deliveries
  • Coordinate with other DTC departments to coordinate schedules and deliveries
  • Identify and address transportation/service opportunities in a timely manner
  • Update equipment activity and yard control system
  • Communicate with the departments to schedule deliveries, equipment, and back hauls, and resolve any issues
  • Communicate with the stores to solve delivery problems
  • Maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses
  • Establish delivery routes
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

    • Minimum Position Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Transportation Logistics
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others
  • Excellent team-building skills

    • Desired Previous Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
