Job Description:

Use your clinical skills as a mental health clinician on our Crisis  Mental Health Co-Responder Team! Mental Health Co-Response Clinicians are embedded in community Police Departments and co-respond with law enforcement to 911 and calls for services to people in the community who are experiencing a crisis. 

Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a  Mental Health Co-Response Clinician in our Crisis Services program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge, and great skills will support the Crisis Services program with the following:

  • Actively participate in 911 and emergency calls at the direction/request of partnering police departments.
  • Provide behavioral health assessments to individuals and families in crisis who encounter the police.
  • Serve as primary liaison to law enforcement on assigned shift.
  • Accompany first-responding officers to call out situations.
  • Provide initial crisis intervention services to individuals in need, along with crisis case management and short-term crisis counseling as a follow-up from initial intervention, when appropriate.
  • Maintain linkages with law enforcement and community agencies by providing documented case consultation, program development, and problem resolution.
  • Provide information and referral services to individuals and families.
  • Maintain necessary documentation, data entry, and records in accordance with program requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and keep informed of current trends and developments in the field of mental health.
  • Sign-on bonus offered for full-time and part-time positions. 

BHN’s Crisis Program provides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed

Job Requirements:

What are we looking for in a Co-Response Clinician?

Clinical Master's degree ( required).

Clinical license or license eligibility  ( required)

Two years’ clinical experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health needs.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Bilingual & culturally diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
