Administrative Assistant

American State Bank and Trust - Wichita Downtown

Description:

This position will provide administrative support to staff, enabling them to focus on the core responsibilities of their jobs.

Essential Functions:

• Provides confidential administrative support to members of management and staff. Edits written communications from word processing documents, coordinates meetings and makes travel and lodging arrangements as appropriate.
• Screens incoming phone calls, mail, publications, and other correspondence.
• Purchases office supplies and manages inventory. Assists with procurement of furniture and fixtures. Maintains communications with vendors.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of assigned reports.
• Collects and prepares information for use in discussions and meetings.
• Plans, orders and stages meals and refreshments for meetings.
• Maintains daily appointment calendars, including scheduling conference room for staff and outside groups. Administers the conference room video conferencing system for users.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:

• A high school education or GED.

Skills:

• Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (Customers or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Written and verbal communication. 
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge is preferred.
