Class A CDL Drivers/Yard Jockey - Second Shift
Job Description
A delivery company is seeking Class A CDL Driver/Yard Jockey to move trailers between pads, doors, and buildings, prepare trailers to be loaded, and shuttle trailers to off-site locations. In addition, you will safely operate a tractor trailer making local scheduled deliveries. You will work second shift between 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Job Duties:
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and assist with the loading and unloading of trailers
- Properly track and document activity log
- Move trailer around the yard, perform lot and door checks, report any issues or incidents to Management, and communicate with the Operations Manager
- Handle pre and post trip inspections
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License; Hazmat endorsement is preferred by not required
- Must have an active DOT Medical Card
- Must be at least 22 years old
- Must have the ability to handle physical workload
- Must have a strong work ethic
