The New Madrid Power Plant seeks a highly motivated individual with proven leadership abilities to assist in leading the safety, training, and reliability of the Instrumentation Department. Under the direct supervision of the Electrical and Instrumentation Superintendent, the Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for directing the activities of the instrumentation technicians in the development, testing, maintenance, calibration and modification to all power plant instrumentation systems, including all plant control systems. These systems range from simple field instruments to programmable logic controllers (PLC) and distributed control systems (DCS). This position interfaces with other plant departments.

The Instrumentation Supervisor will encourage a strong safety culture by leading by example. He/she is responsible for the scheduling and maintaining records of calibrations and maintenance and/or modifications of plant systems, setting work schedules for instrumentation technicians as needed to maintain all instrumentation and controls related to plant operations, as well as the coordination of outage jobs and activities. He/she will also assist with the instrumentation technician progression training.

Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, management, or equivalent experience. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as proficient with computers and related software. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to achieve results and champion change.
