Flexible Assembly Systems Inc. seeks applicants for the following full-time position at its San Diego, CA worksite:

Systems Engineer: Design robotic & vision cells incorporating various material handling systems; Troubleshoot and interface with program machine controls and improve production efficiency with regards to robot programs and operations; Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and interface with other departments in developing solutions; Assist process and development engineers in developing processing/assembly methods and defining manufacturing instructions; electro-pneumatic systems, 2D/3D vision and data collection systems.

Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of professional experience as a Systems Engineer Controls, Robotics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation. In lieu of a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience, employer will accept Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate professional experience as a Systems Engineer Controls, Robotics Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation.

Education or experience must include: PLC, Automation embedded systems, robotic controls, MATLAB, schematic drawings, loop drawings, AutoCAD.

Any suitable combination of experience, education, or training is acceptable.
