Summary
The Maintenance Scheduler is responsible for scheduling daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual maintenance plans for both Clean Energy owned and 3rd party (Customer) owned fueling stations or plants. The Maintenance Scheduler will ensure that the maintenance is scheduled to the appropriate service technician and parts are ordered for major maintenance work orders. Maintenance Schedulers will communicate with Operations Management and Customers to ensure they are aware of scheduled maintenance. The Maintenance Scheduler could also assign work orders to and dispatch technicians to stations to handle corrective work orders.

The Maintenance Scheduler may review completed work orders to ensure completeness and provide customer with completed reports on services provided. The Maintenance Scheduler will collaborate and communicate with Operations Management and technicians to escalate identified issues, missed scheduled maintenance and/or incomplete documentation.

The Maintenance Scheduler will prepare and coordinate for interrupted work and execute the backup plan for technicians and their schedules. They will communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to notify of major repairs or maintenance activities and inform them of any changes to scheduled maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Planning and Scheduling Process

  • Execute the planning and scheduling process
  • Communicate schedules to technicians, Operations Management and Customers
  • Add new and generate existing Inspection Plans, Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Work Orders as requested
  • Assemble work schedule that takes into account equipment needs, equipment availability, labor needs, and labor availability
  • Work closely with the Directors of Operations, Operations Service Manager and Supply Chain to optimize scheduled work
  • Comply with work prioritization process with operations, engineering, quality, safety, and other stakeholders

Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Leadership

  • Communicate and adhere to our Field Service (CMMS) standards and usage
  • Perform basic data analysis on Field Service, SCADA and/or IoT information in order to plan maintenance and determine areas of opportunities
  • Point person for Field Service setup around new capital
  • Service Objects and Assets
  • Asset Hierarchy
  • Inspections, PM’s and Correctives

Maintenance and Technical Resource

  • Understands and communicates how the various components fit and work together in order to make the equipment/system run
  • Support the site with technical issues as they arise
  • Participate in problem solving activities
  • Participate in preventive maintenance development
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Basic understanding of maintenance metrics and the business significance of the metrics (Planned)

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, plus 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of Maintenance Planning, Operations, Customer Service or Inside Sales experience.

Language Skills
Possess sophisticated, professional oral and written communication ability. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of e-mail/scheduling software applications. Experience with ERP software, such as Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Epicor or SAP.
