Job Description:

Jefferson Community College, Watertown, New York, a member of the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is conducting a search for a full-time Technical Specialist - Admissions.  This position assists in the execution of all phases of student recruitment which includes communicating and engaging with prospective students, managing applications through the admissions process to the point of registration, coordinating Student Ambassador Participation with recruitment events both on and off-campus, and leading participants in recruitment activities. This position involves a non-traditional work schedule including evening and weekend work assignments. Professional staff are expected to advance the College's focus on student success and completion and will work closely with the College's leadership to advance the mission of the Strategic Plan 2020-2025 which may be reviewed by clicking on the link below.


Requirements:

Required:  Associate's degree in a related field.

Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Preferred:  Bachelor's degree.
