Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for the supervisory and operational functions within the Central Receiving section. These responsibilities include organizing, coordinating and evaluating laboratory services offered in an expeditious manner for quality patient care. The Associate is accountable for personnel staffing, training, scheduling, accuracy and timeliness of procedure performance, budgeting, and materials management. Duties are to be done in such a manner as to apply and contribute to the St. Joseph’s Health mission and values.

Education Requirements:

1. Requires HS Diploma, prefer an Associate’s degree.

Experience Requirements:

1. Two years’ experience as phlebotomist or extensive knowledge of registration process and laboratory workflow.

2. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

3. Familiar with technology related to practice in Central Receiving section and strong knowledge of laboratory practices.
