The Tulane National Primate Research Center is located in Covington, Louisiana - a charming southern community nestled among three rivers. The Medical Research Specialist for the Pathogen Detection and Quantification Core (PDQC) laboratory performs diagnostic assays on specimens and providing research support in Biosafety Level 2 laboratories (BSL2 and BSL2-enhanced), in adherence with the Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) in place. This position will work independently with minimal supervision. The Specialist will also be responsible for equipment and general laboratory maintenance.
