This position possesses advanced skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and apply the nutrition care process to patient care. Demonstrates advanced skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information required for a complex clinical nutrition assessment. Requires a high level of analytical ability to incorporate into practicing advance clinical and theoretical concepts. Requires strong communication/ interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals to enhance collaboration and problem solving. Demonstrates ability to lead projects for department. Provides lectures to professional staff. A mentor to interns, students, staff, peers and colleagues. Ability to implement a performance improvement project. Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration at date of hire. Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio at date of hire. Must remain in good standing with both accrediting boards. Maintain a minimum 15 Continuing Education units per year.

RD - Dietitian - Registered Bachelor degree w/ specialty cert (nutrition support, diabetes, oncology, renal, sports nutrition, pediatrics or geriatric) or Masters degree.

Prefer at least 5 years of experience working as a clinical dietitian working in the environment of an acute care hospital;

Minimum of 2 years in general practice and 3 years working in a specific area of practice or population.
