The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting health care providers in providing primary care in the Eastgate Public Health Center’s ambulatory care clinic. This role will primarily support pediatric services and care offered at Eastgate Public Health. The incumbent works as a paraprofessional performing delegated patient care functions under the clinical direction of a Physician, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Registered Nurse and under the supervision of a site manager or Personal Health Services Supervisor (PHSS). The incumbent works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary clinic team; performs administrative support duties, conducts education and outreach activities; researches various topics and information; conducts assessments, and is expected to regularly adapt their role/tasks in order to maximize clinic efficiency and flow. Additional duties vary depending on the practice specialty but can include family planning, immunizations, phlebotomy, medication administration, intramuscular, intradermal (including PPD's) and subcutaneous injections, and data entry into a tracking system.

Work Schedule: These positions are 1.0 FTE, fully-benefited positions that are overtime eligible. The typical work schedule for this position is 40-hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May work outside of the typical schedule to meet operational needs.
Work Location: Eastgate Public Health Center, located at 14350 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98007, in the Primary Care Clinic working with infants, children, youth and adults.
