  • The Pharmacy Technician 1 is accountable for assisting pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications for patient administration.
  • These activities include but are not limited to patient specific medications; floor stock pharmaceuticals; controlled substances; and other defined systems.
  • Pharmacy Technician 1 encompasses Pharmacy Technicians working in the retail environment.
  • All assigned activities are performed under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager.
  • Essential Duties:
    • Accurate preparation of patient medications.
    • Accurate and timely delivery of patient specific medications.
    • Inventories, replenishes, and maintains drug stock.
    • Assist the Pharmacist with medication, patient care related issues.

  • High School Equivalent / GED
  • Graduate of accredited pharm tech or the UH pharm tech trainee program required.
  • Ohio Board of Pharmacy licensed Pharmacy Technician (registered or certified)
  • CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
