UW-IT has an outstanding full-time opportunity for a Network Engineer in our Network Design and Architecture (NDA) team.

The NDA team is a key part of the IT Infrastructure division of UW-IT, supporting both wired and wireless networks. In addition to supporting a variety of network scales, we also design, deploy, and operate partner-owned fiber, DWDM, ethernet services, and third-party circuits.

This position will lead the design and architecture of the Pacific Northwest Gigapop’s evolving network. The Pacific Northwest Gigapop is a nonprofit corporation serving research and education organizations throughout the Pacific Rim; providing access to next-generation internet services and technologies including Cloud providers, exclusive R&D testbeds where tomorrow’s internet technologies are being developed, and to research and education networks and research organizations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, the Pacific Rim, and Europe.
