GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Supply Planner is primarily responsible for working closely with the demand planning team developing a supply plan against the unconstrained demand plan. Determining constraints within supply and working with suppliers to mitigate short falls. When short falls cannot be closed via supplier capacities, working with the Sourcing team to create additional capacities within the supply side of the business. This individual will manage lead times, and work closely with cross functional teams including but not limited to Sourcing, Transportation, Distribution Centers, and NPD to maintain stable lead times and capacities within our supply chain. The Supply Planner II will create purchase orders, communicate expectations to suppliers, validate lead time, maintain ERP system information, work with transportation on priorities, and ultimately deliver goods to our DC’s in a timely manner meeting all KPI’s associated with supply. The Supply Planner II will also be involved in the quality process with each supplier confirming all quality procedures are followed as stipulated by Sourcing by working with APAC and/or US Sourcing staff. Actively participate in the S&OP process reporting on status of all inbound product, and changes to the original plans, and communicate any mitigation opportunities to stabilize inbound inventory receipts when lead times extend for any reason. The supply and demand planning teams develop strategic plans working with Sales and Sales OPS in preparation to support annualized forecasts.
