Vice President, Business Services and Finance 

Salary:  Competitive within the Illinois Community College System

Position Summary: The Vice President for Business Services and Finance has broad responsibility for leading the College’s financial, business, and facility planning operations by designing and managing comprehensive policies and programs for the College. This position is responsible for the operations of the Business Office, Accounting, Human Resources, Facilities, Auxiliary Services, Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, Information Technology Services, and Campus Security. The Vice President formulates and interprets College policy concerning general administrative personnel and fiscal functions in these areas.  The Vice President serves as chief advisor to the President in the formation of policies affecting all business services areas, while fostering collaboration with faculty, staff, student organizations and the communities served by the College to advance the mission of the College.

Qualifications: Required:  Master’s Degree in business administration, finance or closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of five years of successful and recent administrative leadership in accounting, management, or related field; must be bondable; must be able to inspect job site construction periodically; ability to travel both within and outside the college district; interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various constituencies, and to communicate complex financial and business services topics; experience in computer-based fiscal planning and analysis; openness and the ability to inspire trust and loyalty among colleagues and the College community.  Preferred: Experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements; community college or higher education institution experience; commitment to a program of continuous quality improvement; Certified Public Accountant designation; Certified Public Finance Officers certification from the Government Finance Officers Association.
