Dover Chemical Corporation, a long-standing Tuscarawas County specialty chemical manufacturer, has openings for full time hourly employees.

SUMMARY

Plant Operators starting pay rate is $23.31/hour and Utility starts at $22.36/hour; pay rates increase by $1 each year for 2 years, in addition to a .48 cents contractual raise on February 1, 2020. Excellent medical benefits, currently with no monthly healthcare premium deducted from your pay, 12 paid holidays, 401K with company match, shift differential, Health Savings Accounts. Typically works 8 hour shifts; occasionally works 12 hours for vacation relief or call offs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate required, with at least 1-3 years proven heavy industrial experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a timed test that measures a candidate's ability to learn a specific job, solve problems, understand instructions, and apply knowledge to new situations.
• Heavy manufacturing experience and forklift certification preferred.
• Must have computer skills, a solid work history, and be flexible to work 8-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, fasting blood draw, urine drug screen, background and reference check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, including a good amount of walking, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, climbing, and balancing with workdays from 8 hours regularly and occasionally 12 hours.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull 55 lb. frequently, move up to 80 pounds occasionally and through mechanical means roll or handle 400 lb. drums occasionally.
• Must be able to work some heights and climb stairs frequently.
• Must be able to wear a full face respirator, supplied air, or an SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus)
