The East Tennessee Development District is seeking applicants for the position of Economic Development Planner. Primary responsibilities will include providing technical assistance to city and county governments regarding business recruitment, location incentive programs and project management. Position requires familiarity with economic development, project/grant management, strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work in a self directed environment and to work effectively with local officials. Minimum requirements are an undergraduate degree with a major in public administration, business administration or a closely related subject. A graduate degree will be preferred.
