Job Description:

The Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD Albany) is currently seeking an energetic, motivated individual with experience in autism spectrum disorders. This position is responsible for working collaboratively with school teams throughout NYS to implement effective educational programs, which includes providing training in multiple delivery formats (i.e., small group, large group, online) to varied audiences. This position also includes working cooperatively with parents through special events and programs for children with autism and their families.

The position requires proficiency in the field of autism, including knowledge of: core components of the disorder and how they impact learning/behavior; best practices in educating students with autism; evidence-based intervention approaches; and positive behavior support.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in psychology, education, special education, or related field from a college or university accredited by a USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization; experience working with children/youth with autism; ability to travel throughout NYS.

Successful candidates will have excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently; be highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to prioritize team efforts; work well with colleagues and be able to meet deadlines. Candidates must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience providing training to school personnel and parents; 3-5 years' experience working with children with autism in public school settings.


Additional Information:

Salary Range: $52,000-$72,000
