Assistant City Engineer

SALARY RANGE: $71,144.32 - $96,254.08/year

GENERAL DUTIES:
Works in and supervises survey work. Responsible for preparation of construction drawings and specifications, administration and inspection of constructions projects. Work involves need for independent work and judgement with consultation as necessary with Director of Engineering/Public Works. Supervises Engineering Technicians, CAD/GIS Technician, seasonal workers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree-Civil Engineering or similar from accredited university or college. Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or ability to obtain within 6 months from start of employment. Must have valid Driver's License.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications above plus 1-3 years of municipal civil engineering experience. Experience with AutoCAD, ArcMap and GPS and robotic total station is a plus. Ideal candidate can work accurately, independently and be able to prioritize tasks.
