General Description
The Continuing Education Department is seeking a part-time instructor to teach Tai Chi to Seniors. The incumbent/s will be responsible for providing quality instruction to students by ensuring student satisfaction according to the program objectives. As an essential function of this position, the individual must be able to communicate, teach and model group fitness to program participants.
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities
• Provide quality and technically relevant instruction, assessment, and feedback to class participants. 
• Maintain daily attendance. 
• Assist with course/program evaluation. 
• Builds relationships with participants.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college. 
• Must possess a recognized fitness class instructor certification. 
• Must possess current CPR certification.
Experience
• Excellent communications skills and hands-on experience and expertise. 
• Curiosity 
• Quick Study

• This position’s duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. 
 
• Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
