Job Purpose Statement: Under general direction of the Director, Curriculum, Instruction & Accountability, assists in developing and implementing professional development programs including the Teacher Induction Program (TIP), assists in the Differentiated Assistance process as needed, and performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements - Qualifications: - Education Required: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and a valid California teaching credential is required. - Experience Required: At least five years teaching experience K-12 required; Experience coordinating and implementing staff development programs and as a mentor teacher. Familiarity with UDL and the MTSS Framework and increasing leadership experience is desired.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: - Knowledge of TIP or other teacher induction program; curriculum development, instructional strategies, and technology applications; research-based interventions; second language acquisition and the needs of second language learners. - Skill and Ability to plan, implement, assess and evaluate programs; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; effectively transmit knowledge and skill to others; plan, develop, and conduct meetings and training programs; develop measurable goals and objectives, set priorities, monitor expenditures and evaluate progress toward achievement; maintain positive working relationships with administrators, teachers and university faculty. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. - Abilities to sit for prolonged periods; work accurately with attention to detail under minimal supervision; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; direct the work of others; interpret data from a variety of sources; listen and analyze problems and develop solutions; control quality of project, schedules, and budgets; perform a wide range of professional, administrative, advocacy, and liaison duties; interpret and apply laws, regulations, and policies; effectively communicate orally and in writing using correct English and grammar; establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and a wide variety of public agencies, community groups, and private industry. Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling/fingering, talking/hearing, near visual acuity/visual accommodation. - Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Possession of a valid California driver’s license; TB test clearance; Criminal Justice Fingerprint clearance; valid California teaching credential.
