GERIATRICIAN – University of Pittsburgh Physicians seeks a Geriatrician to work in Pittsburgh, PA (Allegheny County).  Provide comprehensive clinical care to elderly patients with diseases or injuries of the human internal organ system; treat medical problems and chronic illnesses to improve patients’ functioning and quality of life; order diagnostic tests, interpret the results, and prescribe appropriate interventions, therapies, medications, and other treatment modalities; collect, record, and maintain details of the patients’ histories, physical examinations, diagnostic test results, assessments, management plans, and treatment outcomes; establish treatment and preventative health plans for elderly patients and refer patients to specialty physicians, as appropriate; provide Geriatric Medicine consults on the Inpatient Trauma service.  Must have a Medical degree or equivalent; must have completed a residency in Internal Medicine; must have completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine; must be Board certified or board eligible for certification in Geriatric Medicine; must have a valid PA medical license and DEA license. Apply by following these steps; visit http://careers.upmc.com and enter 22000078 in the “Search Keyword/Job ID” field and click Go.
