Position Summary/Essential Duties:

  1. Assist patients through the initial intake process by obtaining clinical information.
  2. Obtain and update demographic information. Ensure accuracy of patient information and management of multiple spreadsheets.
  3. Manage information through current Resource Program
  4. Determine benefit eligibility to Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuropsychology services.
  5. Possess a working knowledge of clinical requirements for all faculty members to ensure accurate clinical referrals.
  6. Ability to manage Referral Information.
  7. Assist patients with insurance questions and review financial/billing related issues that are presented.
  8. Responsible for fostering relationships within UHCMC for recruitment/referral purposes.

Correspondence/telephone calls to be handled in a professional, courteous manner.

Education/Expertise:

BA Psychology, Sociology or similar related field  or 5 or more year experience working in  mental health facility in direct patient care

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent Organization skills

 

 

Required Credentials, License and/or Certifications:

Preferred

LPC, or LSW

 

 

Experience & Knowledge:

Customer Service Experience, Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office software.  Knowledge of Soarian or other billing systems a plus

 

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

Possess analytical and problem solving skills

Type 55 wpm
