Shift:
The Manager, Compensation is responsible for the day to day operations of the compensation department and oversight of the Compensation Analysts. She/he acts as a subject matter expert for the organization, guiding operational leaders on compensation policy, programs, and solutions. As a first line manager, he or she supports dedicated clients. Additionally, he/she project manages large initiatives such as the yearly merit program, benchmarking analysis, and large-scale market/equity adjustments. May be involved in supporting senior HR leaders with executive compensation, and plays an integral role with coordinating with HRMS to maximize use of the HRIS system.
Ensures compensation operational practices are consistent and documented and works with internal stake holders to maximize service and processing for operational leaders. This is a first level manager level with performance management, hiring, and team compensation decision making responsibilities. May contribute to budget development in in partnership with the Director Workforce Planning & Compensation, and VP HR Operations. As with all leaders at Baystate Health, this manager is responsible for instilling trust for her/his team and ensuring the team has access to professional development so that our cultural pillar of lifting up our potential is realized.
Required Experience:
Five years of progressive HR Compensation experience. Experience managing large scale compensation projects
Preferred Experience:
Five years progressive HR Compensation experience in a healthcare environment. Two years people management.
Skills:
Market based compensation pay practices. Understanding of data and data structures to ensure compensation data is maintained. Program management and development for compensation initiatives.
