- Must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation.
- REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass a criminal background investigation (including Child Abuse, FBI, and PA State Police backgrounds), and obtain necessary certifications (CPR and First Aid).
- NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
- Playground Supervisors are responsible for maintaining order and safety at the playground facility by preventing accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules and regulations of the park. Also responsible for organizing activities and providing first aid to patrons, if needed. This position is seasonal running from June to August. Shift times are Monday 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Tuesday-Friday 9:30 am – 12:30 pm throughout the summer at select park locations. In addition, special events will be held on select nights and weekends.
- EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
- Open and close the park each day; organize, group activities/games with park patrons; follow arts and crafts lesson plan; maintain a clean environment in and around the park; assist patrons when appropriate or necessary; attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings; complete required documentation.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of and ability to perform first aid and CPR procedures; ability to exercise tact and judgment in maintaining order and discipline and in enforcing park regulations; ability to work well with others.

- NATURE OF WORK PERFORMED
- This seasonal position in the City's Streets Bureau works from May through August assisting the Bureau with general labor tasks.
- EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Assists in patching of City streets by shoveling, spreading, and raking gravel/asphalt; cleaning of City streets by removing debris; and painting duties.
- REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to life and carry a minimum of 40 lbs; must be able to work outdoors in direct sunlight and hot temperatures for extended periods of time; must be able to understand and follow instructions. Some construction or matintenance experience preferred.
