| Job Summary: | Oversees outstanding accounts receivable for large Orthopedic surgery practice. Provides guidance to AR team of 10, providing direction on appropriate action to take on accounts. Assist in developing new AR processes, workflows, policies and procedures; reviews staff productivity reports. Reviews patient accounts to ensure proper and timely action is taken. Provides system updates, education and clarification on processes. Responsible for maintaining carrier tracking spreadsheets and meeting with provider reps. Works closely with Assistant Billing Manager with generating reports, denial management and handling patient complaints. Oversees training of new staff is complete, effective and timely. Completes misc. reports and staffing schedules. Responsible for conducting interviews and assists with hiring process; approves time off requests and manages OT; conducts disciplinary actions and conducts mid-year and annual evaluations. Must be able to use various billing platforms. |

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses in a related field and four years of progressively responsible medical billing experience, including supervisory experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Prior experience in all aspects of medical billing, insurance benefit coordination and Workers Compensation preferred. |
