Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Training Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in German American’s Learning and Development team. Our blended learning approach includes experiential, hands-on learning where you are able to work alongside your fellow team members to perform meaningful work. With your active engagement, you will gain a deeper understanding of Learning and Development techniques, along with key components of the Financial Services industry and our Company’s culture.  You will work with follow team members, internal customers, 3rd party vendors, serve as a team lead on the Learning Management system, and so much more.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • The Daily Grind – Your focus will be to coordinate and facilitate training sessions, including new hire orientation.  You will exercise your organization and communication skills as you schedule training events and workshops, coordinate with instructors, build and distribute required instructional materials, communicate training schedules and details, and manage and submit training cost allocations and expenses.  Attention to detail and timeliness will be important as you manage training rosters and answer inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. As a part of this role, you will become the Learning Management System team lead, where you will schedule training, manage rosters, build curriculums, upload materials and produce reports on training statistics, program evaluations, and so much more. There is plenty of room for continued growth and development here, as you will be project lead for yearly development of the training calendar and participate in other special projects related to Learning and Development.
  •  You’re Part of a Team – You are a member of the Training and Development Team. This role offers amazing insight into developing employees and coaching to develop the talents of your co-workers in instructional design, adult learning principles, and other areas. You will serve as the back-up facilitator for several courses as well maintain training records in our Learning Management System.  You will work closely with other Human Capital Team members in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
  • And you have to be able to juggle – Multiple and conflicting priorities will come up under specific time constraints. In concert with your leader and other team members, you have to be quick to act when issues arise.

  • Ability to: work in a fast-paced environment and achieve goals, communicate effectively, make engaging presentations, maintain confidentiality, work with speed and accuracy, grasp information quickly, and work independently and as a team member.
  • Responsible for adhering to compliance laws, regulations, and established Bank policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering. 

Bonus Points:

  •  Experience in banking or financial services
  • Cornerstone or other Learning Management System (LMS) experience
  • Instructional Design
