We are seeking a Product Management Intern who will be responsible for supporting the execution of Moultrie Mobile’s Beta Program.  As Beta Program Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of beta tests with both internal and external users for hardware and software features before they are launched to the public.  Support tasks include the creation of test plans, surveys, and weekly reports to internal stakeholders. You will learn skills to synthesize data and recognize patterns across users to provide the business confidence that we are ready to release a delightful product to our customers or alert if there is a potential usability issue.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the pool of beta users.
    • Ensure those users who have been accepted meet the minimum requirements of beta participation.
    • Ensure the beta pool is continuously updated with users that have new products and features to ensure the pool stays fresh.
  • Be the primary point of contact for beta testers.
  • For each beta test, work with internal stakeholders to identify ideal candidate criteria and select users to be invited to the tests.
  • Report key insights from each beta test – identify what drives delight and disappointment.
  • Create a feedback loop for participants so those who were not accepted into a beta know they will be considered for other opportunities.
  • Work with the hardware/device team in advance of beta to secure hardware devices that meet minimum requirements.
  • Ability to execute multiple beta tests simultaneously.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX team and the Product Researcher, to develop the beta test plans, including the generation of weekly test assignments/questions, instructions, survey generation, and asset distribution.
  • Document and log issues reported from beta users.  Recommend priority/severity and obtain consensus with Product Managers.

Requirements:

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related discipline.   
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, execute methodically, and problem-solve.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outdoor (hunting and fishing) product-related background or familiarity preferred.
  • Understanding beta tests and their importance.
  • Familiarity with Asana, Confluence, Survey Monkey, and Blue Shift.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • May require sitting for long periods of time in an office environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must maintain company confidentiality.
