Cypress Employment has a client in Alabaster looking for a night shift CNC Plasma/Burning machine operator.

JOB Description: The CNC Plasma / Burning machine operator may perform the following tasks:  Plan cutting operation by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, materials, specifications, and machine parameters.  Interprets geometric dimensions and holds tolerances for parts that are cut from varies plate thickness. Mark parts with the proper identifying drawing numbers and heat numbers.

JOB DUTIES:

Plan cutting operation by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering drawings, materials, specifications, and machine parameters. 
Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Operates overhead cranes/crane hoists to move materials.
Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications, using square, tape measure and/ or other measuring equipment.
Sets up and operates machines for parts with plasma or oxy/fuel.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Works well with others by showing mutual respect and consideration.
Takes pride in work produced and exhibits a professional attitude.
Performs additional duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

One year of blueprint reading required.
Demonstrated ability to operator CNC burning machine by entering burn files from the RAM, engineering server or modify standard shapes located on the machines control panel.  
Demonstrated ability to perform simple operations, such as clocking in or out of work, marking parts with identifying numbers or symbols, etc.
Must pass a math test (basic math, geometry, and trigonometry).
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand/walk 95% of the work day
Lift up to 60 pounds frequently
Lift up to 80 pounds occasionally
Twist, reach and bend frequently
Carry up to 60 pounds occasionally
Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine)
Possess depth perception and peripheral vision
possess the ability to hear
Pay: $20 -$23 per hour – DOE * Sign on Bonuses – Rules Apply*
Schedule: Night Shift – 50 to 60 hours a week, paid OT, $3.00 night shift differential, occasional Saturday work required.
