Certified Medical Assistant – PRN – Montgomery, AL

We are seeking energetic Certified Medical Assistant's to work PRN with our outstanding team of healthcare professionals to work onsite with employees at a local automotive manufacturer in Montgomery, AL.

What you will be doing:

• Measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height 
• Performs routine laboratory tests/collects specimens for routine laboratory tests 
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), Spirometry, X-ray, hearing booth, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
• Performs injections or treatments as ordered or per protocol
• Performs administrative tasks and provides assistance at front desk 

Ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of Software tools, including internet, spreadsheet, word processor
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to be team player
• Demonstrate a positive attitude

 Education and training required:

• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant from the American Academy of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologist Organization, or current registration with the American Registry of Medical Assistants
• Greater than one-year work experience in patient care specifically at a health center/ doctor’s office
• CPR certification
• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
