Applies accounting principles in work that is analytical and creative in nature and requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice, under general supervision. Typical duties include analyzing financial information and preparing basic financial reports and statements; examining various financial reports for completeness, accuracy and conformance with accounting standards; projecting accounting data to show the effects of proposed plans on overall financial condition; preparing account entries to document business transactions; and auditing contracts, vouchers, etc. Requires accuracy and attention to detail, good math and reasoning skills, and competency in appropriate computer software applications. |
