Preschool Teachers

Kendal Early Learning Center has full-time position opportunities for Lead and Assistant Teachers for our NAEYC-accredited preschool located in Kendal at Oberlin’s beautiful retirement community. Responsibilities include providing the children with a caring, professional learning environment to learn necessary skills for kindergarten. Eligibility qualifications include one of the following: a high school diploma or GED certificate and a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) granted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC); 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or two years’ experience in Child Care; or a high school diploma or GED certificate and an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, or special education. Qualified candidates must have CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Communicable Disease Recognition certifications as required by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Experience with Creative Curriculum, project approach, assessment documentation, and Conscious Discipline is preferred. Candidates for this position must have a great love for educating children, a desire to work collaboratively in teams, and excellent communication skills.
