This is a full-time, 14-week virtual Summer Information Services internship.

Job Summary

Corewell Health is seeking a highly motivated intern to join the Priority Health Digital Products team. As a member of a cross-functional team, you would work with various areas of the business (including Designers, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders) to help produce web and mobile applications for both internal and external use. These apps are used by Priority Health’s nearly 1.3 million members and are critical to their digital experience. Prospective candidates should have a problem-solving, innovative mindset, while keeping member’s best interests in mind.

Developers at Corewell Health work with a variety of technologies and frameworks; Angular and .NET are among the most popular. We also use .NET's Multiplatform Application UI (MAUI) to create a mobile app experience for our members. We strive to use the latest technologies and trends in the IT field whenever possible. Developers are encouraged to work on many areas of the development stack.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
  • Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
  • May analyzes department processes and other Spectrum Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in area of accountability. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
  • Any web design or development, preferred.
