* Plans, coordinates, evaluates, and documents quality Facility Operations/ activities in accordance with hospital policies/procedures and criterion established by various legal and regulatory accrediting bodies.
* Supervisors/Oversees the responsibilities of the Facility Operations, so they are performed in an accurate, timely, cost effective, professional, and confidential manner.
* Supervises and coordinates the work of Facility Operations personnel in the delivery of basic general repair, renovation, replacement, preventive maintenance and landscaping services performed throughout the physical plant and properties
* Promotes and enforces maintaining a safe and orderly hospital environment to ensure compliance with safety/risk management standards and construction/life safety codes.
* Fulfills responsibilities of Technician/Groundskeeper and Systems Technician as deemed necessary.
* Promotes and enforces departmental compliance with general safety and infection control standards.
* Orients, trains and schedules personnel.
* Assists in preparing and monitoring departmental goals, budget, and performance improvement activities.
* Performs other duties as assigned while demonstrating willingness, ability, and team spirit to provide optimal customer satisfaction.
* Assists with orientation/inservice and attends, demonstrates, and participates in required inservices, performance improvement activities (including EXCEL), and other educational programs.

Requirements:

* To fulfill the requirements of this position, the incumbent shall possess two years of college in a related field; advanced formal training and/or extensive experience in those fields relating to engineering, construction, horticulture, landscape sciences, and/or physical plant management preferred
* Formal training or the equivalent of five or more years in practical experience in basic electrical circuits, plumbing, carpentry, construction, and landscaping required
* Previous experience in Facility Operations management and/or supervision preferred;
* Must be 21-years of age, possess a valid driverss license, and a safe driving record in order to drive a hospital vehicle (other than a hospital ambulance)
* Good communication skills in order to effectively supervise and communicate with inter and intra departmental employees, patients and their family members, physicians, and public required.
* The incumbent must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills needed to proficiently provide service to the customer.
