Nurse Paralegal for Medical Malpractice Defense Practice

Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black is seeking qualified applicants for an experienced medical malpractice nurse-paralegal in our Richmond, VA Office. The ideal candidate will be an RN with a current nursing license and an Associates degree in paralegal studies, a Paralegal Certificate, or comparable experience managing cases from inception to end in the setting of medical malpractice litigation, including collecting, tracking and organizing medical records, preparing medical summaries and chronologies, locating and summarizing pertinent medical literature, assisting with identifying and communicating with expert witnesses; is detail oriented with strong follow-up skills; has strong communication and writing skills; the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff; the ability to self-manage and meet deadlines; and the ability to work extra, when needed. Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment required.
