About the Division
This position is a member of the MIDD Team within the Behavioral Health & Recovery Division (BHRD). BHRD works to improve the quality of life in King County by ensuring that adults, youth, children, families, and communities receive the mental health and substance use disorder services that they need. BHRD's client-centered, coordinated system of service delivery is based on community assessment, measurable outcomes and systematic program evaluation that is accountable to our clients and their families, funding agencies and residents of King County.
About the Program
The MIDD Behavioral Health Sales Tax Fund generates over $136 million every biennium. MIDD funds behavioral health programs and services throughout King County through approximately 51 initiatives that support people living with or at risk of behavioral health conditions to be healthy, have satisfying social relationships and avoid legal system involvement. This position plays a key role on the MIDD Team which works to assure that MIDD initiatives and programming are operating effectively and that MIDD policy goals are being achieved. About the Position
The MIDD Team is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead, manage and support MIDD-related programming and strategies. Duties include supporting existing MIDD initiatives, staffing the MIDD Advisory Committee, leading the development of the MIDD Annual Report and identifying opportunities for system alignment. The ideal candidate will have both project and program management experience, be a self-starter, enjoy collaborating with colleagues, and be skilled in working with both internal and external partners.
The selected candidate will integrate King County's Equity and Social Justice principles into the daily functions of this position.

WORK SCHEDULE/CONDITIONS: This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not eligible for overtime. Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Teleworking Requirement
The work associated with this position will be performed through a combination of teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Employees will have access to shared workspaces at various King County facilities. Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a workspace with an internet connection (access may be supplemented in some situations) where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours. Please note that when an employee conducts work that is likely to bring them in contact with another individual, safety precautions are required, including the wearing of masks in some situations. King County is doing its part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remains committed to reducing our carbon footprint.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Washington State Driver's License, or the ability to travel around the county and state in a timely manner.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in the field of public health, behavioral health and/or human services in a governmental and/or community-based not-for-profit organization.
