Austen Riggs Center

The Austen Riggs Center is internationally recognized for excellence in providing intensive psychodynamic psychotherapy in an open community. Located on a bucolic campus in the town of Stockbridge, MA, the Center provides a continuum of hospital, residential, and day treatment for people with a variety of complex psychiatric troubles, many of whom have not been able to succeed in other settings.

We are looking to add to our talented staff. Each position is full time.

• Psychiatric Nurse

The nurse plays a vital role in helping patients take charge of their lives through the establishment of a thoughtful and respectful therapeutic relationship that maximizes the dignity of the individual patient through support of their healthy, adaptive functioning. Requires current Massachusetts RN license, CPR, CPI, BSN and previous psychiatric nursing experience. Clinical Social Workers serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary psychodynamic treatment team. The SW is responsible for direct clinical service in providing family consultation and family therapy along with ongoing casework for patients, including discharge planning.

Requires MSW with LCSW or LICSW; Mass. License or eligibility, three years of experience post Masters. Two years clinical experience as a family therapist, specific training in family therapy, and working from a psychodynamic perspective.
