Job Summary: The Medical Records Assistant Director oversees the daily operations in the HIM department. These areas may include Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, scanning process, quality review, analysis, medical record requests for studies, and record completion activities. It also assures the timely completion of tasks in all the above areas for patient care, billing, and research purposes and works with physicians and other providers to monitor the physician completion process and apprise Associate Director or Director of any concerns. Is also involved in EMR functions and Document Scanning System.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Health Information Technology with 5 years experience in Health Information Management, or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management with 3 years experience in Health Information Management to include 1 year of supervisory experience required. RHIT or RHIA required. Must be able to multitask and work on several projects at a time.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in record completion, deficiency tracking and document scanning. Familiarity with reports such as Business Objects, productivity reports and Epic reports. Demonstrated successful leadership skills and excellent communications skills with experience in problem resolution. Experience managing multiple areas with experience in handling patient issues.  Demonstrated experience writing performance evaluations, interviewing and counseling.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
