General Farm Laborer

Townsend Farms, Inc. is looking for 33 seasonal farm/ field laborers to work from April 6th through October 16th, 2020. Work will be based out of Fairview, OR - 20 positions available - or Cornelius, OR - 13 positions available, with farms located nearby. Wage is $15.83 per hour. Worker will plant & maintain crops (weeding, hoeing, caning, etc.), apply pesticides, repair posts & fences, load/unload trucks, operate tractors & equipment, operate irrigation equipment, aid in the inspection of crops, & general assistance in areas where you may be needed. Work tools, supplies, & equipment will be provided at no cost. Housing is available at no cost, as well as transportation to & from our housing location to work sites. Transportation & subsistence costs will be provided to the worksite & paid upon 50% completion of the contract or when appropriate. This position complies with the 3/4 guarantee, which guarantees employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least 3/4 of the workdays in the contract period. At least 1 month of general farm labor experience required.
