Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a registered or certified medical assistant to join Surgical Practices as a float medical assistant in Springfield and Westfield, MA.

This position would cover General, Colorectal, Bariatric, Trauma, Plastic, Pediatric, Breast, Thoracic, and Noble General Surgery, Breast practices as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES. Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care.

SCHEDULE.  Full time:  Monday thru Friday. No weekends, no Holidays., Part time and per diem position available, too.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association
• Must be ONE of the following
• Certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• A Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Registered as an American Medical Technologist (AMT)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association
• Great interpersonal skills, compassionate care giver and able to work in a fast paced environment a MUST.
