Clinical Laboratory Support Technologist/Technician

Job Summary: Processes and receives specimens. Performs routine and specialized molecular testing, including SARS-Co V-2 testing. Follows established policies and procedures and performs appropriate related tasks (QC, PM, calibrations, etc.). Maintains records of testing including patient results, proficiency testing, quality control, instrument calibrations, preventive maintenance procedures, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:

NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or candidates with a Bachelors in Science will be considered for appointment to a commensurate title and salary. Ability to distinguish colors required.       

Preferred Qualifications:

NYS license/registration or limited permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and two years clinical laboratory experience preferred. Experience in DNA/RNA extraction and PCR preferred. 

Work Days:

Monday - Sunday, rotating schedule, various shifts. Holidays on rotation.
